Keto French Toast [Keto, Low-Carb]

Keto French Toast

There really is no better way to bring a smile to your breakfast table than with French Toast. And this recipes uses really simple ingredients, but yields a very tasty result. Your family won’t even know this is Keto…


INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/3 cup - Heavy Cream

  • 3 - Eggs

  • 3 TBSP - Granulated Erythritol (or your favorite sweetener)

  • 1 tsp - Cinnamon

  • 1/8 tsp - Ground Nutmeg

  • 1/8 tsp - Sea Salt

  • 1/2 tsp - Vanilla Extract

  • 5 slices - Low-carb Bread (I like Sola or Chompies brand)

  • 4 TBSP - Unsalted Butter

  • 1/4 cup - Sugar-free Maple Syrup (I like Nature’s Hallow or ChocZero brand)

  • Optional: Fresh berries for garnish


DIRECTIONS:

  1. In a large bowl, whisk all the ingredients together, except the bread, butter, and syrup.

  2. Warm up a large non-stick skillet (or griddle) over Medium-High heat. add 2 TBSP of butter to the pan. Meanwhile, slice the bread in half to make triangles.

  3. Drop in half of the slices into the batter and let them soak for at least 3 minutes.

  4. Once the pan is hot and butter is melted, fry the soaked bread until golden brown on each side. Set aside on a plate as they finish.

  5. Repeat Steps 3 & 4 with the second half of the bread.

  6. Serve with fresh berries and your favorite sugar-free syrup.
